Harry Styles is thinking about leaving One Direction.
Having had so much success with the boy group, Harry is in serious talks to launch his solo career once his contract with Simon Cowell’s record label comes to an end.
The deal that all five boys signed means that they’ll be on lockdown with SyCo records until 2016, but after that, Harry has made it clear that he wants to do his own thing and branch into other things such as movies — something he doesn’t want One Direction to be part of.
Harry and the four boys – Zayn, Liam, Niall and Louis – haven’t spoken with each other in three months. They briefly met at the Brits last month but that was the only time they were able to get all of them together.
According to the source, signs are already showing that Harry Styles wants out, adding that for him to pull through for another two years with the band will be a miracle.
“One Direction insiders say he has become a ‘virtual stranger’ to the rest of the group – and the atmosphere when they reunite will be toxic,” the Daily Star writes.
“The bad blood stems from the rest of the group’s suspicions that Styles is planning to go solo after four years in the band.”
Liam recently defended the group by telling fans that the boys hadn’t been speaking with each other as much as they usually do because they were taking a break following a hectic schedule with their world tour.
Sources state otherwise. They believe that once the band reunites in the following weeks to rehearse for their summer tour, there’s going to be a lot of tension between Harry and the rest of the group because “they all know what’s going on.”
“It’s going to come to a head now because for the first time in months they are going to be spending every day together as they rehearse for this summer’s tour.”
“The boys want reassurances from Harry that he’s in the group for the long haul. They won’t let him just use them for his own career ambitions. They want to know what’s really going on.”
Harry Styles has made several headlines last year as insiders reported that the 20-year old had penned a couple of tracks he would like to place on his solo album.
