Dottie is definitely out to cause a lot of controversy with the comments she made on the TODAY show, saying that she knows her husband well enough to know he would never hurt or sexually abuse children.
Jerry was sentenced to life behind bars after being found guilty of sexual abuse to young boys. But Dottie says it’s all nonsense.
Matt Lauer led the questions with whether or not she believed her partner was guilty of the disgusting charges he was sentenced for.
While she responded by saying she has no reason to believe the minors, Dottie was left fuming over the claims one boy made saying that Jerry would often shower with him after football practice.
“I don’t believe that. I believe he showered with kids. That’s the generation that Jerry grew up in….There were always people coming in and out no matter what time that was.”
She would also go on to defend another claim that was made in court where one boy stressed that Jerry would keep him in the dungeon and perform sexual acts on him.
Dottie strongly denies this too, adding: “No, because there was nothing that went on.”
“Because I was here. I will take you downstairs and let you see the basement. It is not a dungeon. It is not what those kids said. You can scream, and you can hear it up to the second floor.”
Dottie also added in the interview that Jerry Sandusky very much misses “having fun” with his grandkids. Take that whichever way you want it. Yuck!
