Lamar Odom’s Injured Spine Causes Him To Quit Spanish NBA Team — Truth Or Drug Relapse Cover-Up?

lamar odom drugLamar Odom has quit playing for the Spanish Laboral Kutxa basketball team just weeks after making the announcement he was signed to a new contract.

The NBA player supposedly has an injured spine that has prevented him from not only playing but even attempting to train during practice sessions, and therefore has decided to quit the team and return back to the United States.

“The tests carried out in New York by Lamar Odom’s trusted medical team, with the knowledge of the club, have shown that the player is suffering from Lumbar Radiculitis, which could keep him out of action for up to two months,” a source told UsWeekly.

It’s an unfortunate situation for Lamar who everybody believed had finally gotten his act together to show the world he can still play basketball following his downfall from last year with his alleged drug addiction and divorce from Khloe Kardashian.

Lamar was “dedicated” to the team and really wanted to make this work but unfortunately it backfired after he injured his spine and could no longer play — now he’s back to being a free agent and is searching for  job.

In a statement, Odom explained: “This is something that is beyond my control. There’s a difference between a part of your body that’s hurt and a part of your body that’s injured. It’s up to me as a responsible athlete to — if I’m injured — to take care of it. I think everything happens for a reason.”

People have questioned whether this “injured spine” is actually legit. Not only is the source claiming that Lamar’s “trusted medical team” did the check-up test, they also told him he couldn’t go back to playing basketball for the Spanish team.

One could easily believe that Lamar may have relapsed and found it hard to play basketball while still struggling to get a hang of his addiction — of course this is just speculation, but also a fair possibility.

No word on what Lamar plans on doing now but we hear he’s already back in Los Angeles.
