Tyra Banks Fuming After Being Rejected To Walk Victoria’s Secret Runway… Nine Years After Retirement

Oh really? It seems strange that Tyra, who worked with the brand for eight years — 1997 to 2005 — would suddenly want to get back to being a runway model despite having retired as a working model years ago.

I guess you see where I’m going with this? The story sounds absurd, but we’ll just go along with what RadarOnline’s “sources” are reportedly telling them after a chat between Tyra and the brand owners supposedly turned nasty.

She “was dying to appear on the runways as a surprise in the most recent CBS Victoria Secret Fashion Show,” a source said. “But was rejected by the brand and the network, despite her long affiliation with the company. She’s outraged and is threatening to never to work with Victoria’s Secret again.”

Back in 2005, Tyra announced she was retiring from modelling to focus on her talk-show. Though the program has since ended, Banks still keeps herself busy with other business ventures such as America’s Next Top Model.

But back to this supposed feud between the people over at Victoria’s Secret and Ms. Banks — Tyra knows that women in their 40s are never considered to walk the runway for those kind of companies. That’s how it has always been.

“Tyra’s feelings were hurt because the excuse she was given is that the audience likes to see the newest models, not the ‘veterans,’ on the runway during the VS TV show,” the insider dished.

I still can’t get over the fact that this source “close to Tyra” all of a sudden thinks she wants to return to modelling after retiring eight years ago — what do you think? Is Tyra really mad for not being picked as an Angel?
