The show, which will go into production later this year, is reportedly “very interested” in bringing back Nene who has been part of the franchise since the beginning.
But of course being the difficult person that she is, the reality star is refusing to sign unless she’s given more money.
Leakes already makes $1 million per season, including bonuses among many other things on the side, but according to the National Enquirer, Nene is most interested in having her salary increased and she’s sure that Bravo will obey her because she’s the self-proclaimed star of the show.
“NeNe thinks she is a bigger star now, due to a recurring role on ‘Glee‘ and the now-canceled sitcom ‘The New Normal,’” an insider tells the magazine.
“Her ego is out of control, but she is wrong if she thinks Bravo will give her more money,” the source added before alleging that Nene is “betting the network does not want to lose her.”
Clearly she’s not aware that a franchise and the brand do not necessarily need a particular person to sustain its success, because let’s be honest… Nene has done nothing but moan and annoy viewers throughout this season with her diva attitude.
It’s starting to rub people the wrong way.
“NeNe is playing Russian roulette and may lose a very good payday,” because if Bravo refuse to give her more money than she’s already making, they’ll not only cut the deal but also axe her from the show completely.
Nene has already forgotten that this show made her. She wouldn’t be where she is without the Real Housewives — but once you go into “I’m too famous for this” mode, you tend to forget where you started.
