Last year, a supposed fan claimed Brown punched him in the face, leaving him with a broken nose — and while Chris has been behind bars since March, during his court appearance earlier today, he admitted to it.
Judge James R. Brandlin didn’t need to hear much after that, having then immediately sentenced the singer to one year in jail. But Chris Brown gets credit for the 116 days he did last year in rehab along with the two months he’s done in jail, meaning his time behind bars will be reduced.
And a follow-up story from TMZ goes on to reveal how Chris could be released as early as next week because the L.A County Sheriff Dept. are known to release one-year sentenced inmates after 240 days.
“But we’re told the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept has been releasing inmates sentenced to 1 year after 240 days. And here’s the thing. Chris gets credit for 2 days for every 1 he served behind bars, so when you add it up, he has credit for 234 days — 6 days shy. So he could be released in days,” the outlet says.
Of course their report has not yet been confirmed, so for all we know Chris Brown will be in jail for quite some time. But you gotta ask yourself whether or not the judge is taking Chris’ trial to the extreme.
The musician has openly admitted today to the crime he committed last year whilst under probation for the Rihanna beating where he was warned that any wrongdoing would land him in jail and possibly prison. So can you really feel sorry for him.
I guess Chris never thought this situation would ever occur.
