Jay-Z, Beyonce, Drake Lead BET Awards 2014: Nominations — SEE FULL LIST!

nicki minaj bet awardsJay-Z, Beyonce and Drake are leading this year’s BET Awards 2014 nominations with five nominations each.

All three of them have had an amazing year as far as music in concerned, having shifted multi-platinum selling albums worldwide in the last 12 months along with their tours which all grossed over $100 million in sales.

In fact, this year’s BET Awards is going to be really exciting to watch because though Jay, Bey and Drake have achieved incredible things this year, so has Pharrell who shares four nominations with R&B newcomer, August Alsina.

“This year’s nominees represent the best of the culture,” said Stephen Hill, President of BET Music Programming. “It’s great to see our talented new artists right alongside our more beloved ones with long careers.”

Something tells me Iggy Azalea will end Nicki Minaj‘s consecutive “Female Hip Hop Artist of the Year” win seeing that the newcomer is nominated for the same award.
