The actor, who appeared on Jimmy Fallon’s ‘Tonight Show’ last night, took the time to say a few things in regards to what was said in the video that emerged on TMZ the day before.
Jonah explained that the photog had aggravated him to the point where he wanted to say something that he knew would hurt his feelings — seeing that the pap did the same thing to him.
Though it’s a stupid thing to do, that was the only way Hill felt like he would be left alone. He says that the photographer had been “attacking me personally and my family personally.”
“The word I chose was grotesque, and no one deserves to say or hear words like that.” He continued with: I don’t deserve or expect your forgiveness,” but he does want you to understand that you should see him as an example of what you should not do when in an altercation with someone.
“Use me as example of what not to do. Don’t respond with hatred or anger. [It will] just add more ugliness to the world.”
One shouldn’t forget that Jonah Hill is an Oscar-nominated actor — so his heartfelt speech could easily be looked as a way for him to smuggle himself out of a nasty situation that he got himself into, because looking at the video and how he said it, he had no remorse for his actions.
But I shall give Jonah Hill the benefit of the doubt that he’s being genuine seeing that he has been a supporter of the LGBT community for years and years. We all say dumb stuff some times, but not all of us end up using offensive slurs to others.
Nevertheless, he’s apologized — but do you accept his apology?
