Robin Williams has gone back to rehab, it has been confirmed. However, this time around it’s for a different reason. It’s much different than the first time when Williams checked into rehab for substance abuse.
The news broke out after Wililams was spotted at a Dairy Queen next to the rehab center. A picture of him and a DQ worker was then posted on Instagram.
Many were worried when hearing the news since Williams has struggled with alcohol and cocaine addiction in the past. Fortunately, “this is not about him falling off the wagon. It’s like an educational and spiritual facility…it’s all very healthy”, said a source very close to Williams.
Williams is at the Hazelden Addiction Treatment Center in Minnesota. The area in which he has been staying is known for helping people maintain long-term sobriety. Williams plans on staying for several more weeks.
The Oscar winning actor has said before that staying sober is not only crucial for him, but for his family too. Williams has two kids, a 24 year old and 21 year old.
A rep of Williams has said, “After working back-to-back projects, Robin is simply taking the opportunity to fine-tune and focus on his continued commitment, of which he remains extremely proud.”
