Neil Patrick Harris to Appear on American Horror Story: Freak Show?

neil patrick harris american horror storyNeil Patrick Harris might make it to your television screens once again!

The “How I Met Your Mother” actor appeared on EW Radio and mentioned his desire to appear on American Horror Story: Freak Show. Apparently the star wanted to get a part on the new Fox television series soooo badly that he wrote a letter to Ryan Murphy.

He told EW Radio: “I wrote a letter to Ryan asking if I can be in it, even though I wasn’t even available to be in it. To do one that involves any kind of freak, circus nonsense is going to be so unsettling to watch. Can’t wait!”

Neil’s plea to have a role in the series must have worked because the star received an open invitation from Murphy on Twitter Friday.

“@ActuallyNPH of course you can be on Freak Show! I have a role I think you’d love.”

Although Neil Patrick Harris previously stated on the radio show that he may not have the time or availability to work on the project, with the end of “How I Met Your Mother” and his departing of Tony-winning Broadway musical “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” on Aug. 17, he may have some room for the project.

Sources have stated that a majority of the AHS cast will appear on the new show. Some of the many that will be included in the series are Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett.

Freak Show, which is set in 1950s Jupiter, Florida, will premiere this fall.
