The Avengers’ Black Widow may be getting her own movie and Scarlett Johansson may have the honor in playing the super heroine once again!
President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, had reported earlier that it would be an interesting thought to give Black Widow her own movie and has stated that there has been developments in doing just that.
Perez Hilton revealed that the writer of X-Men and X2, David Hayter, has always wanted to get involved with the development of such a movie and confirmed that his name, as well as Johansson’s, are attached to the project on IMDB.
“For Black Widow, I wrote [a script] ten years ago and I was attached to direct it then. Then a few female action movies came out and they didn’t do very well.”
“And the movie got shelved. It’s on IMDB and I’m going to talk to Marvel about possibly re-igniting that project. It really depends on Marvel on what they want to do with that character. So that’s the status of that right now. As far as I know, it’s not a project that’s happening yet. But I have written a script for it.”
Hopefully David Hayter, who is as well known for voicing Snake in the video game Metal Gear Solid, will be able to pull of such a feat. A Black Widow movie will definitely be something worth waiting for.
Scarlett Johansson, 29, will be taking the big screen once again as the quick witted heroine in the Joss Whedon’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron opening May 1, 2015.
