Rapper Remy Ma is officially a free woman.
The 34-year-old artist was released from prison on Friday, a day after her expected release date.
Remy Ma was sentenced to eight years in the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for the intentional assault of Makeda Barnes Joseph.
According to reports, the rapper shot Joseph in 2008 due to an argument over $3,000 that went missing. Remy Ma was released from prison after serving six years out of her eight year sentance.
It didn’t take long for Remy to announce her freedom. On the artist’s Instagram, Remy Ma uploaded a picture which contained the words “I’m back !!!” on Instagram.
After her release, husband Papoose warmly welcomed the female rapper home as well as members of her entourage and manager.

Papoose took to Instagram to express his excitement.
“Congratulations to the #Queen happy 2c you walk out that cage!!!!!!!!!! Time 2 begin a new chapter It’s your time #therulersback wish strong was here 2c this #therulersback #therulersback #ripstrong”, Papoose captioned the image of a welcome home cake.
Written near the cake were the words “Elephant Juice”, “Unconditional Love”,“24”, and “Welcome Home Baby Girl.”
Papoose as well added a picture of his wife stepping out of a very lavish car. Remy can be seen covering her face with a hat and wearing a pair of sexy thigh high boots.
He captioned it:

MTV has reported that the artist is already working on a collaboration with DJ Khaled based on various Instagram pics.
