Awe, now that’s what we call a true friend.

After the wake of Britney Spears auto-tune controversy, former Crossroads co-star, Zoe Saldana, stood up and defended Spears on Watch What Happens Live! last week.

During her appearance on Thursday’s episode, The Guardians of The Galaxy star was asked by a caller on what she thought of Britney’s leaked and sans auto-tune version of her song Alien.

It didn’t take long for the 32-year-old actress to give the caller and audience a piece of her mind on what she thought about the auto-tune controversy.

“Well, that’s mean, because I’m pretty sure that 80 percent of our musical artists would be mortified if they were caught singing without their own auto-tune,” Zoe said.

Saldana continued, complimenting the singer for her beautiful attitude and modest personality.

“She was the only pop star at that time – and I can name a lot of prominent figures right now that today are more famous than Britney – that literally got to where they were at by hating on Britney a lot. Because it was cool at one time to really just diss her. And Britney never did that.”

“I have a huge amount of respect for Britney Spears. She was the one big, big celebs that I met when I started to work in Hollywood who literally was humble. I do believe that people and children gravitate to good energy, and she’s definitely an abundance of that,” Saldana added.

Zoe’s kinds words eventually made way to Britney, touching the singer.

“@zoesaldana Truly the sweetest, thx 4 the kind words. Nothing but great memories of working w u. Crossroads pt 2? ;)” Britney tweeted.

With the tweet, Spears added a Gif from Crossroads featuring Saldana, Orange is the New Black actress Taryn Manning, and herself dancing in a car.

Hopefully Britney and Zoe will get together once again to give us a second Crossroads.

Hi, my name is Merema. If learning about pop culture was a degree I could've studied when I decided to take on a three-year course at college, I would've probably had the highest grades in my class. But instead, I settled for a BA in Film and a Master's in Filmmaking.
