The former Twilight starlet, who has never been a huge fan of photographers stalking her, has opened up about the difficulty in living a private life when dozens of elderly men follow her around with huge lenses in her face.
“Now I feel like if I smiled for a paparazzi photo — not that I ever would — that’s exactly what people would be desecrating me for,” she says when explaining why she never smiles to the photogs.
“They’d be like, ‘now you’re going to give it up, now you’re a sellout.’ Like, okay, What do you want? What would you like?”
The media has been much more hands on with Kristen ever since she split from Robert Pattinson. There have been rumours of an alleged Katy Perry / R-Patz fling which Kristen was said to have been angry about seeing that she and Katy have been friends for so many years.
Of course Katy was quick to deny the story, but that didn’t stop the media from moving on to their next target. Kristen says that she’s not bothered by the lies that the media make up about her because she’s been through it for such a long time now. She brushes it off her shoulder in an instant.
When asked if she remembered her career-changing moment, she quickly answered, “Twilight”.
“The day the movie came out there was a picture of me — in the New York Post, I think. I was sitting on my front porch, smoking a pipe with my ex-boyfriend and dog. And I was like, Oh sh*t, well, I have to be aware of that.”
