Katy Perry has slammed the stalking photographers who wouldn’t leave her alone when she planned on having a quiet day out in Australia.
The singer, who is currently out in Aussie in support of her Prismatic world tour, was left stunned when several men refused to leave her alone after she kindly asked the photographers to leave so that she could enjoy the day that she finally had off.
Here’s what she said on Twitter:
“Australian PRESS: you should be ashamed of your paparazzi & tabloid culture. Your paparazzi have no respect, no integrity, no character. NO HUMANITY. I was stalked by many grown men today as I tried to take a quiet walk to the beach. These men would not stop as I pleaded over & over to let me have my space.”
And if that wasn’t enough, she added:
“Many other people stopped to try to help out but the paps continued to laugh at me & hold their barrels up & shoot. They told me to make a ‘deal’ with them. Give them a bathing suit shot and they would leave me be. This is PERVERTED & disgusting behavior that should NEVER be tolerated, especially by people who do NOT want this. I will NEVER make a deal with paparazzi and I will not befriend anyone who perpetuates this kind of behavior.”
Katy does make a point. But then again, in some places, photographers just don’t have the kind of restriction that other countries set in place.
In France, you must allow the person to have their privacy and you most certainly aren’t allowed to snap nude photos of them as this could not only result to that person losing their job as a photographer for that company, but that person would also see a huge fine and time behind bars.
