Lamar Odom has shut down a $1 million offer from E! that would have seen the NBA player return to Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
Odom has kept a rather low profile in the last year or so following the revelation of his alleged drug addiction, but with friends claiming that the athlete has finally beaten his battle with substances, he is ready to start fresh and work on a new beginning.
E! supposedly got word of this and instantly reached out to Lamar Odom, seeing if he was interested in getting back on one of the network’s biggest shows. Fans were puzzled as to why the former Clippers player was asked to return to KUWTK when him and wife, Khloe Kardashian have split well over a year ago.
Apparently Khloe wants you to think that this is the case when, in fact, the reality star is said to have secretly met up with Lamar Odom on numerous occasions. Their reunion has not led to anything more than just husband and wife talking out their differences, but sources say that Khloe’s friends are convinced she will give her estranged hubby another chance. Her only reason in wanting to try things again with Lamar is solely down to the fact that he has been sober for almost a year.
E! clearly did not wait to push their contracts in the way of Khloe and Lamar’s reconciliation, clearly wanting to have the scoop on how the couple plan on moving forward. Sources close to the Kardashian say that K and L have not gotten to that stage where they have even talked about getting back together, but it’s likely going to happen.
Either way, producers of KUWTK want everything aired out on the reality show, which would explain why they approached Lamar so early on. Turns out that the 35-year-old turned down the reported $1 million offer that would have seen Lam-Lam reprise his recurring role for one season. Odom stresses that if Khloe was to give him another chance, the best way to make the marriage work would be to do anything but share their personal lives on reality television.
Lamar has acknowledged that the show has damaged his career and exposed his inner secrets, he somewhat blames the show for ruining his marriage and, therefore, has no desire in returning. Furthermore, if their relationship is going to work this time around, Lamar plans on staying away from the media, social media and all sorts of reality-TV, vowing to be the best husband he can possibly be.
