Kylie Jenner is gearing up to release her debut album, executive produced by rapper beau Tyga. According to reports, the 17-year-old has been working on this project for almost a year, having had endless vocal coach lessons to perfect her voice when embarks on a potential singing career.
US Weekly confirms the news, reporting that Jenner is heading for an R&B/Pop sounds, having been inspired by the likes of newcomer Tinashe. While it is still unclear as to when the album is set to be released, it should be noted that Kylie is not signed to any major record label as of yet, insinuating that she may be heading for the independent route.
Independent artists usually lack in album sales but knowing the Kardashians and how good they are at marketing themselves for maximum publicity, Kylie Jenner could potentially be the next big thing — depending on how catchy the song ends up being.
Kanye West has supposedly issued a helping hand after the socialite approached her brother-in-law, asking him on critical advice on how she can become a respectable artist in the industry. “With her sister Kendall continuing her full-time career as a model, Kylie is in desperate need to keep herself just as busy and music is exactly what she sees herself doing,” one source shared.
Kanye is also said to have offered Kylie a few of his instrumentals, having shown signs that he is interested in helping Jenner become a worldwide pop icon. As previously mentioned, Tyga will be the executive producer, presumably meaning that a duet from the two could very likely be in the works.
Some reports claim a single is set to drop over the summer. From there, Kylie Jenner will see what the response is before she makes vital decisions on when and how she wants to release her album — if she ever pulls through with it in the first place.
